Gay Church, The

Many LGBT persons grow up in religions that oppress and condemn their lifestyle as wrong and sinful, which doesn’t preclude their search for spirituality. A large network of inclusionary and non-judgmental religious groups support the spiritually inclined, perhaps the most famous and exemplary of which is San Francisco’s Glide Memorial Church, whose tradition is rooted in empowerment, recovery, and personal transformation.
