Pageant Queen/Sash Queen

Derisive term used to refer to gay men who compete in pageants or contests in order to win a title or sash.
While these competitions provide an opportunity to showcase one’s talents and raise funds for worthy causes, there are aspects of these events and communities, including politics and pecking orders, that are not unlike the much-maligned beauty pageants of mainstream society.
